Application
The School for Continuing Education is responsible for all applications for admission to MAS programmes at ETH Zurich.
Application process
1. Submit your application via the online platform eApply (www.lehrbetrieb.ethz.ch/eApply) and pay the application and handling fee using your credit card.
2. As instructions might evolve from year to year, please follow the instructions given on the online platform. All other requested documents for your application : a motivation letter, CV, Portfolio/work examples and 3 Reference letters should be uploaded to the online platform as well.
3. Candidates that apply in the first window of applications will get confirmation of acceptance or waiting list by March 15th. Depending on availability, a second window for eventual places will be opened. In case of acceptance, the candidate has 30 days to provide a final response.

5. Proficiency in English or German -If your mother tongue is not English or German, you need C1 in either language.
Portfolio requirements
The portfolio should feature three projects which you feel demonstrate your design capabilities as well as your technical knowledge. Layout quality will also be evaluated and should emphasize images and design diagrams. The portfolio can be uploaded in PDF format and should not exceed 10MB. Please include a letter explaining why you would like to participate in the program and three letters of recommendation.
Deadlines for submission
Applications for the MAS ETH in Architecture and Digital Fabrication opens on the 15th of November and will close on the 15th January.
An eventual window for waiting lists will open on 15th February and will close 15th of April.
Eligibility
A master’s degree in architecture or engineering recognised by ETH Zurich, or an equivalent educational qualification (i.e. a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience in a directly related field) is required. Also required are proof of creative design skills and technological capabilities. Documents submitted with the application and a portfolio review will be used to assess a candidate’s qualification.
Applicants with German language skills are sought after in our programme.
The program accepts a group of around 20 students per year.
Tuition fees
Tuition fees 21'460 CHF including fees for the School of Continuing Education.
