Patrick Bedarf is a research assistant at the chair for Digital Building Technologies (dbt), Institute of Technology In Architecture (ITA) at the Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich.
After studying architecture at HTWK Leipzig and TU Delft, he practiced internationally, in offices such as Zaha Hadid (London), Delugan Meissl (Vienna) and Henn (Berlin, Beijing) as well as freelance collaborations with Realities United, Feld and Artis Robotics. Furthermore, he is specialized in computational design tools and research in the domain of additive fabrication for building processes. He enjoys teaching and discussing how conventional building culture can be reinterpreted with novel design and fabrication frameworks. Consequently, he lectured and tutored workshops in architectural schools throughout Europe (ETH Zurich, TU Delft, TU Berlin, Politecnico di Milano, UTC Cluj, BUT Brno, HTWK Leipzig).
